Robert Richard Gunn, Jr

Robert Richard Gunn, Jr., age 55, of Union Point, GA, died Friday, October 19, 2012. He was born in Marietta, GA on July 26, 1957 to the late Robert Richard Gunn, Sr. and the late Frances Evelyn Taylor Brook Gunn. He graduated from Greene County High School in 1976. Robert was an avid fisherman and also a very talented artist who enjoyed painting. Robert was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by a brother, Bobby Brook and his wife Faye of Union Point, GA; two nieces, Paula Brook of Union Point, GA and Donna Askew Moon and husband Tommy of Greensboro, GA; two nephews, Taylor Brook of Union Point, GA and Ben Askew and wife Debbie of Union Point, GA ; and two great nieces, Ellie Askew and Brook Moon Pietrantone and husband Joseph; caretaker Patricia Wingfield (Boswell Parker Nursing Center), and several other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carole Brook Askew and brother-in-law Raymond Askew.

A Graveside Service will be held Sunday, October 21, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Greensboro City Cemetery with Rev. Robert Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until time for the service Sunday afternoon at McCommons Funeral Home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
