Richard Calvin Clark, age 95, of Greensboro, GA, formerly of Atlanta, GA, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012 at St. Mary''s Hospital in Athens. Born in Acworth, GA on September 9, 1917, he was the son of the late Homer Clark and Mary Claudia Clark. During World War II he served his country in the United States Army Air Corp. in both Europe and North Africa and was awarded two Bronze Stars for his service. On August 26, 1944 he married the former Martha Ruth Tanner of Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Aviation School in New York with a degree in Aeronautics and was an Aircraft Inspector for Lockheed for thirty-three years. He was an avid Braves fan, enjoyed golf and was a member of Mt. Paran Church of God in Atlanta, GA. Several years ago he moved to Greensboro to live with his daughter.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-four years, Martha Ruth in 1998; and siblings, Louise McKnight and Audrey Bellflower. Survivors include two daughters, Penny Callaway and husband John of Greensboro, GA and Sandra Jones and husband Howard of McDonough, GA; six grandchildren, Matthew Smith, Amanda Stancil, Scott Batchelor, Jonathan Batchelor, Michael Batchelor and Andrew Batchelor; twelve great grandchildren, Chance Wheeler, Reece Wheeler, Maci Stancil, Brooklyn Stancil, Bethany Batchelor, Jacob Batchelor, Austin Wainright, Loranda Wainright, Caleb Batchelor, Patrick Batchelor, Josh Batchelor, and Robby Batchelor.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Acworth, GA with Dr. Kent Hawkins officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at McCommons Funeral Home. The family requests that any memorials be made to Mt.
