Richard Keith Boyd died at his home on Monday, February 12, 2018 at the age of 61. Born in Waxahachie, TX, on July 21, 1956, Keith was the son of the late Scott Allen Boyd and Carolyn Paisley Bones Boyd. He graduated from Dade County High School and went on to study drafting for two years.  The family moved from Florida to Greene County in the late 1970’s.  On November 17, 1984 he married Ann Carney of Penfield, GA.  During his career he had worked for Miller Brothers Nursery and Fleming’s Heating and Air. Then he opened Boyd Heating and Air which he operated until the time of his death. His favorite past time was being with his children and grandchildren and watching westerns on T.V.
 
Keith is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Ann Boyd of Penfield, GA; children, Laurie Munn (Mike) of Bonaire, GA, Derek Cantrell of Longs, SC, Kelly Jones (Bert) of Winder, GA and Kevin Boyd of Athens, GA; siblings, Stuart Boyd (Linda), Scott Boyd (Michelle), Kenneth Boyd (Alicia), Barbara McClain (Mark), Christie Pimm (Brian) and Joy St. German; ten grandchildren, Kayla, Aidan, Aly, Caleb, Dagon, Leah, Boston, Berkeley, Keilan and Elle; other relatives and a host of friends.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Boyd.
 
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Funeral Home Chapel, 109 W. Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating.  The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. until time for the service at the funeral home.  The family requests that any memorials be made to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Park North, 1577 Northeast Expressway, Suite A, Atlanta, GA  30329.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
