Ramon Joseph Kotovsky, Jr., age 54, of Eatonton, GA, died Monday, July 11, 2011 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Born in Chicago, Illinois on October 29, 1956, he was the son of the late Emily Lucille Jindra Kotovsky and Ramon Joseph Kotovsky, Sr. of White Plains, GA. He grew up in Chicago and in 1974 graduated from James B. Conant High School in Hoffman Estates, IL. He attended technical school at Harper Junior College in Palatine, IL, where he studied engineering and mathematics. He worked for Western Electric, Design Mold Engineering and after moving to Georgia in 1995 worked with his brother, Joseph, at Sunshine Gutter in Eatonton, GA. Ramon loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle and "Lady", his golden retriever.
In addition to his father, Ramon Joseph Kotovsky, Sr. of White Plains, GA, he is survived by a sister, Debra DoorenBos and husband Ron of Nokomis, FL; a brother, Thomas Kotovsky and wife Darlene of McHenry, IL; sister-in-law, Leisa Griffith Kotovsky of Eatonton, GA; nieces and nephews Kimberly Sherrer, Thomas Kotovsky and Crystal Bartowz; eight great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emily Jindra Kotovsky in 1999 and a brother, Joseph Kotovsky in 2009.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church, 6341 Lake Oconee Parkway, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Father G. Philip Ryan officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the Sacred Heart Social Hall at Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
