Pearl Louise Leverette Hinton, age 95, of Union Point, GA, died Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Greene Point Health Care Center in Union Point. Born in Lincoln County on July 3, 1914, she was the daughter of the late William Grover Leverette and Mattie Izola Mobley Leverette. She grew up in Lincoln County where she attended school. Mrs. Hinton worked for Garland Manufacturing in Warrenton, GA and Royal Manufacturing in Washington, GA. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Union Point and enjoyed gardening.
Mrs. Hinton was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Pierce Hinton; her son, Billy Morris; and siblings, Georgia Brown, Tommie Johnston, Fate Leverette and Jewell Leverette. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth "Pam" Hinton Lucey of Marietta, GA; a daughter-in-law, Rachael Morris; four grandchildren, Bobby Morris, Deborah Hall, Brige McCoy and David Brett; four great grandchildren, Robert Morris Jr., Bobbi Jean Singleton, Kalanii Thomas and Koree Thomas; two great great grandchildren, Sheadon Andrews-Morris and Wyatt Singleton; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery in Union Point with Rev. Dennis Garner officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Koree Thomas, Bob Watkins, Robert Morris, Cale Yearwood, Matt Smith and Danny Ashley. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon Thursday morning at Callaway Funeral Home. Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
