Paul Janes “Pete” Boswell, III, age 55, of Greensboro, GA., died Monday, May 30, 2011. A lifelong resident of Greene County, he was born May 13, 1956 to the late Paul Janes “Jack” Boswell, Jr. and Mary Virginia Harrison Boswell of Greensboro, GA. He graduated from Nathanael Greene Academy in the class of 1974 and attended Augusta College and the University of Georgia. Pete worked in construction with his father, Jack, at Boswell Construction. He could operate any heavy machinery and did clearing, grading, bushhogging and plowing. He was a jack of all trades and could fix or build anything. Pete was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro.
In addition to his mother, Mary Virginia Boswell of Greensboro, GA, he is survived by his wife, Thurla Boswell; sons, Paul James Boswell Sr. and Thomas Janes Boswell; step daughters, Elizabeth Glenn (Baylor) and Briana Baldwin; sister, Kim Boswell; brother, Ralph Boswell (Heather); grandchildren, Abigail Boswell, Paul Boswell, Jr. Colin Boswell, Sayler Boswell, Laikyn Boswell and Cooper Boswell; and step grandchild, Maleah Glenn; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. at the Penfield Cemetery with Rev. Rick Hermann and Rev. Jimmy Long officiating. Serving as pallbearers are David Cheeley, Steven Thompson, Steve Pinson, Chip Lyness, Billy Hawkins, Raymond Jackson, Tony Jack Rowland and Harvey Webb. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at McCommons Funeral Home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
