Patricia Cannon Deason
Patricia Cannon Deason passed away peacefully at home on July 23, 2017. Born in Greshamville, GA, on May 28, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Janie Mae Cannon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Allean C. Jones, and first husband, Charles Brown. Ms. Deason graduated from Greensboro High School. She was employed at Premier, Inc. in Atlanta, GA, managing the shipping department until her retirement. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, in Greshamville, GA. She enjoyed watching all movies featuring her favorite actors, Patrick Swayze and Sam Elliott. Her favorite pastime was yard work and caring for her animals.
Survivors include step-daughter, Vicki D. Green (Marshall), of Thomasville, GA; granddaughter, Joan McKaye, of Thomasville, GA; sisters: Geraldine C. Batchelor, Linda C. Ogle (Donald), both of Greensboro, GA; brother, Larry Cannon, of Oxford, GA; aunt, Billie Ruth Sellers, of Greshamville, GA; nephews: Robby Jones (Alaine), Harold Batchelor (Lisa), both of Greensboro, GA, Mike Cannon (Kelli), of McDonough, GA; nieces: Angela B. Driggers (Greg), of Saint Simons Island, GA, Pamela S. Corry (Greg), Amanda O. Wiggins (Rodney), both of Greensboro, GA, Julie Cannon (Shane Harper), of Covington, GA; special friend, James Deason; great nieces and nephews, other family, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2017, 2:00PM, at New Hope Baptist Church, in Greshamville, GA. Interment will follow at Madison City Cemetery, in Madison, GA. Rev. Mike Prichett officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.at McCommons Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers are Wylee White, Ricky Curtis, Herby Daniels, Keith Bryant, Frank Cloud and Charles Crumbley. Melvin Duvall will serve as honorary pallbearer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all memorials be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 1400 Farmington Road, Madison, GA, in her name. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
