Nancy Bagwell Perteet

Nancy Gertrude Bagwell Perteet, age 69, of Greensboro, GA, died Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Born in Floyd County on January 2, 1939 she was the daughter of the late John Henry Little and Melinda Rose Little. For a number of years she was a furniture maker and then she was a manager at Granite Shoals Marina. Later she worked in Union Point for Associated Textile Mills in the sewing department. After retirement she enjoyed making crafts and spending time with her family.

She survived by her husband, Edsel Loyal Perteet of Greensboro, GA; a daughter, Wanda McClendon and husband Michael of Greensboro, GA; five sons, Michael Chamblee of Greensboro, GA, David Beasley of Greensboro, GA, Joseph Beasley and wife Stacey of Cumming, GA, Adrian Beasley and wife Yvonne of Greensboro, GA and Ronnie Beasley of Buckhead, GA; a stepson, Edward Perteet of Greensboro, GA; two sisters, Patricia Moulder of Douglasville, GA and Sandra Vest of Mableton, GA; two brothers Phillip Little of Villa Rica, GA and Mitchell Little of Douglasville, GA; ten grandchildren, Phillip Beasley, Danny "Pee Wee" Beasley, Rodney Ashley, Michele McClendon, Ally Beasley, Kyle Hanson, Shay Beasley, Briana Beasley, Kristy Beasley and Justin Beasley; three great grandchildren, Austin Ashley, Dylan Ashley and Adreanna Ashley; and a number of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Chamblee in 1979.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 4, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Long and Rev. Dennis Garner officiating.
