Nancy Margaret Ogletree Callaway, age 87, of Greensboro, Georgia, died on Sunday, June 24, 2007 at her granddaughter''s home in Athens. Mrs. Callaway was a native of Greene County and lived all of her life in Greensboro. Born February 20, 1920 she was the last of twelve children born to the late Milous Henry Ogletree and Rosa Cornelia Turner Ogletree. She married Willie Raymond Callaway, Sr. in June of 1933. For over thirty years she worked as a spinner for Mary Leila Cotton Mill retiring in 1975. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro. She spent much of her time reading, working word puzzles and taking care of her cats.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Raymond Callaway, Sr. in 1971. Survivors include a daughter, Hilda Margaret Callaway Center and husband Charles of Ellijay, GA; a son, Willie Raymond "Bill" Callaway, Jr. and wife Ann of Union Point, GA; two grandchildren, Fredrick Drew Evans and wife Jan of Peachtree City, GA and September Lee Evans and husband Ben Ewing of Athens, GA; five great grandchildren, Caroline Lynsey Bowman, Fredrick Drew Evans IV, Samuel Callaway Evans, Ryles Hunter Evans and Charles Raynor Evans; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. at Greenview Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. Memorials can be made to St. Mary''s Hospice, 1660 Jennings Mill Road, Bogart, GA 30622.The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday night at the funeral home.
