Myra Ann Edwards Jones

Myra Ann Edwards Jones, age 55, of Greensboro, GA died Tuesday, April 10, 2007. A lifelong resident of Greene County she was born January 1, 1952 the daughter of Mary Ashley Edwards of Greensboro, GA and the late Robert Ernest Edwards. In 1970 she graduated from Greene County High School and attended Georgia College in Milledgeville. Myra Ann was a seamtress and a Demonstration Agent for new products on the market. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greensboro.

In addition to her mother, Mary Ashley Edwards, she is survived by a daughter, Amanda Scott of Wake Forest, NC; a son, Clay Jones of Atlanta, GA and his fiance, Jennifer Bach of Alpharetta, GA; a brother, Kenneth Edwards of Greensboro, GA and and a number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Wayne Usry and Rev. Skip Padgett officiating. Interment will follow at the Edwards Family Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Robert Browning, Walter Browning, Tommy Scott, Edmund Gallop, Mark Yearwood, Thomas Scott Sr., and Lee Yearwood. The family requests that any memorials be made to the ALS Association, P. O. Box 5051, Hagerstown, MD 21741-9813 or the American Diabetes Association - Georgia Chapter, Three Corporate Square, Suite 10, Atlanta, GA 30329.
