Mitch Taylor Obituary

Emmett Moore “Mitch” Taylor, age 22, of Union Point, Georgia died Thursday, December 31, 2009. Born in Greene County on August 25, 1987, he was the son of Cathy Lee Fields and Emmett Alfred “Mickey” Taylor. He attended Greene County High School and was a self-employed carpenter, who was a Jack of all Trades. His love of joking around and telling jokes endeared him to many. Mitch had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and hunting. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Washington, Georgia. He is survived by a son, Bryson Lee Taylor of Washington, GA; his mother and step father, Cathy Lee Fields and husband Dewayne of Lexington, GA and father Emmett Alfred “Mickey” Taylor of Union Point, GA; sister, Taylor Farmer of Rayle, GA; step brother and stepsisters, Zachary Fields, Andria Fields, Jessica Fields and Tabatha Fields all of Lexington, GA; maternal grandmother, Martha Ann Sanders of Lexington, GA; maternal great grandmothers, Sallie Mae Arnold of Lexington, GA and Ophelia Compton of Crawford, GA; step grandparents, Vernon Fields and wife Barbara of Athens, GA; paternal grandparents, Harold Gibson Jr. and wife Dianne of Union Point, GA; paternal great grandparents, Helen J. Miller of Washington, GA and Harold Gibson Sr. and wife Mary of Raytown, MO; and by numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Carl Dean “Trick” Farmer; paternal grandfather Emmett Moore Taylor; and paternal great grandfather Howard Miller. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Greensboro with Rev. Timmothy Moore Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at the First United Methodist Church Family Life Center. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
