Minnie Lee Lankford Arnold

Minnie Lee Lankford Arnold, age 75, of Union Point, GA, died Sunday, June 12, 2005 at Greene Point Health Care Center in Union Point. Born in Oglethorpe County on July 15, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Lola Lankford and Maggie Lena Pearson Lankford. She spent most of her life in Union Point where she was a seamer at Chipman Union and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Porterfield of Greensboro, GA, Irene Crane of Oxford, GA and Faye Nunn of Union Point, GA; a son, Delane Arnold of Union Point, GA; two sisters, Leila Mae Taylor of Salisbury, MD and Elizabeth Townsend of Parsonsburg, MD; two brothers, Carrie Lankford of Parsonsburg, MD and Owen Lankford of Salisbury, MD; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery in Union Point with Rev. Colin Duncan officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Crippen Taylor, Ricky Lankford, Aaron Taylor, Joey Hearn, Bud Thornton and Wayne Jackson.
