Michael Lee Yearwood, age 43, of Greensboro, Georgia died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Saint Joseph''s At East Georgia. Born in Greene County on July 26, 1966, he was the son of Linda House Yearwood Barrington and the late Emmett Jackson Yearwood. He attended Greene County High School where he played football and baseball. Michael was the owner and operator of Yearwood''s Construction. He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing golf, playing pool, lifting weights, playing softball and going fishing. He also enjoyed playing cards and burning fires in his backyard. He was a member of the Greene County Country Club and the First Baptist Church of Union Point, Georgia.
He is survived by his wife Dana Reynolds Yearwood of Greensboro, GA and his mother, Linda Barrington and husband Robert of Union Point, GA; a daughter, Kayla Rebecca Yearwood of Greensboro, GA; three sons, Joshua Scott Cummins and wife Hailie of Union Point, GA, Zachary Lee Yearwood of Greensboro, GA and Jackson Taylor Yearwood of Greensboro, GA; two sisters, Pam Whitehead and husband Alan of Winder, Georgia and Denise Welch of Union Point, GA; two brothers, Jeff Yearwood and wife Deborah of Union Point, GA and Dwayne Yearwood and wife Crystal of LaGrange, GA; and by numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Callaway Funeral Home Chapel in Union Point with Rev. Mitch Elder and Rev. Dennis Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Wisteria Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Tim Ray, Scott Burgess, Tommy Evans, Ben Hood, Russell Copelan, Tony Flores, Billy Goss and Darryl Kitchens. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Henry and Mike Hall. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday night at Callaway Funeral Home. Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
