Melissa Renn Brumbaugh, age 56, of Reynolds Plantation, Greensboro, GA, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Athens Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 14, 1956 in Evanston, IL to the late Richard Warren Renn and Irene Timmons Renn. Melissa graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and the University of Iowa with a Master''s Degree in Communication Science. During her working career she was a consultant in broadcast communications for Frank Magid and Associates. Later, she was the Vice President of Market Research and New Product Development for the American Medical Association. On March 12, 1988 she married Alan Brumbaugh and in 1997 they moved to Reynolds Plantation where she enjoyed golf, travel, photography and painting.
Melissa is survived by her husband, Alan Brumbaugh of Greensboro, GA; and two brothers, David Renn, of Valencia, California and Randy Renn, of Buffalo Grove, Illinois. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Corlin Sherwood and a brother, Timothy Renn.
