Maxine P. Burdette

Maxine P. Burdette of Greensboro, Georgia passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Greene Point Health and Rehabilitation Center in Union Point at the age of 90. She was born in Mabscott, West Virginia on October 21, 1923 the daughter of the late Arthur Wesley Pennington and Dora Mae Tanner Pennington.  She graduated from Beckley High School and West Virginia University.  While in West Virginia she worked as a social worker for the Raleigh County Department of Human Services.  She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Beckley, West Virginia.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jackie Bishop of Tega Cay, South Carolina and Judy Broome of Greensboro, Georgia.  She was preceded in death by daughter Joan Lynn Slack and grandson Bradley James Broome.  She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
