Maude Higdon Patrick

Maude Higdon Patrick, age 78, of Greensboro, Georgia, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003. A native of Lincoln County she was born May 28, 1924 to the late Adolphus Higdon and Cora Weaver Higdon. She had worked as a retail clerk for Ashley''s Mercantile Company, Interstate 5 & 10 and J. H. McCommons Co., Inc. and was a member of Penfield Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Patrick in 1998. She is survived by a daughter, Jerry P. Copelan of Greshamville, GA; a son, Kenneth Patrick and wife Janice of Greensboro, GA; a sister, Ethel H. Shevick of Greensboro, GA; a brother, Harvey Higdon of Greensboro, GA; five grandchildren, Todd Copelan, James Copelan, Jason Patrick, Jeff Patrick and Matt Patrick; a great grandchild, Heather Patrick; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 21, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Wayne Usry and Rev. David Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Curtis Whittaker, William Poole, Allen Hill, Sam Patrick, Mark Higdon and Prince Parrish. The family requests that any memorials be made to the charity of your choice. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
