Mattie McGinty Hunt, age 90, of Grayson, GA died Wednesday, June 16, 2004. Mrs. Hunt retired from the city of Atlanta Parks Department in the Arts and Crafts area at Chastain Park. She was the mother of nine children and was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Hunt.
Survivors include four children, Arthur and Mary Jewell Bryan of Morrow, GA, Haywood and Linda Hunt of Grayson, GA, Jim and Doris Rudisill of Hendersonville, NC and Darrell and Kathy Hunt of Cleveland, GA; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 19, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the Eternal Hills Chapel with Rev. Mark Hornby officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Greensboro, GA. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, Snellville, 770-972-3155.
