Mary Bell Sisk

Mary Florence Bell Sisk, age 82, of Greensboro, Georgia, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009. Mrs. Sisk was born on September 21, 1926 in Rochelle, GA to the late William Wiley Bell and Florence Brown Bell, but had been a resident of Greene County most of her life. Mary graduated from Rochell Consolidated High School and attended GSCW in Milledgeville. She married Edgar Alexander Sisk, Sr on Jan. 2, 1949. She was a homemaker and helped her husband in his work as his bookkeeper. As long as health permitted she was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church of Greensboro. For a number of years she had made her home at Greene Point Health Care Center in Union Point.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Alexander Sisk, Sr. in May of 1982; and siblings, William Bell Jr., Margaret Bell Wilder, Jane Bell Davis. Survivors include a daughter Mary Sisk Brenner and husband Eliot of Annandale, VA; two sons, Edgar Alexander "Alex" Sisk, Jr. and wife Barbara of Covington, GA and Richard Kyle Sisk and wife Anu of Lawrenceville, GA; a brother, John Loam Bell of Bonaire, GA; three grandchildren, Julie Brenner, Kimberly Sisk and Anika Sisk; and other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Greensboro City Cemetery with Rev. Ira McKeever officiating.
