Mary Elizabeth Boyd Meyer

Mary Elizabeth Boyd Meyer, age 80, of Athens, GA died on Friday, March 2, 2007 at Arbor Terrace Assisted Living Residence in Athens, GA. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 11, 1926 she was the daughter of the late John Henry Boyd and Margaret Craig Boyd. She was a Lieutenant with the State of New Jersey Women''s Correctional Institution. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Greensboro Art Alliance.

She is survived by two daughters, Alicia Young and husband Steve of Greensboro, GA and Betty Dobes and husband Gus of Asbury, NJ; a son Craig Meyer and wife Patti of Greensboro, GA; six grandchildren, Echo Meyer, Summer Meyer, Jacob Meyer, Amber Young, Eric Young and Meadow McCain; six great grandchildren, Caleb Bollenbacher, Gus Bollenbacher, Kara Meyer, Val Meyer, Ella Meyer and Damien McCain; and a number of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by eleven siblings.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Walker United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. John Pike officiating. The family will receive friends and family after the service at the home of Craig Meyer.
