Mary Virginia (Edwards) Dingler

Mary Virginia Edwards Dingler of Union Point, Georgia died on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Pruitt Health in Washington, GA. She was 82.  Mary was born in Crawfordville, GA on October 29, 1935, the daughter of the late Daniel L. Edwards and Mary Elizabeth Davis Edwards. She grew up in Crawfordville and attended Alexander Stephens Institute. She worked for Lena Hy Garment Company in Greensboro as a Supervisor.  Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church of Union Point.  She enjoyed crocheting and word puzzles.

She is survived by four sons, Melvin Kitchens of Union Point, GA, Kelvin Kitchens of Washington, GA, Alvin Kitchens and wife Patricia of Bridgeport, AL and Darryl Kitchens and wife Lynn of Lexington, GA; grandchildren, Travis Kitchens and wife Kelly, Kyle Kitchens, Kelvin Kitchens, Jr. and wife Amanda, Dorothy Williford Padgett and husband Michael, Elizabeth Leigh Kitchens, Breanna Lamar, Jessie Wray Colquitt, Dottie Wray, Jessica Masterson, Christopher Masterson and Tiffany Masterson; great grandchildren, Wyatt Kitchens, Will Kitchens, Kinsey Kitchens, Deliah Kitchens, Calli Kitchens, Rilyn Lamar, Liam McCarty, and Willow McCarty; siblings, Julia Nell Moore, Eula Mae Mobley (Bill), Priscilla Dingler (Edward), Johnny Edwards (Betty Ann) and Henry Edwards; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin Kitchens, Sr. in 1966, her second husband Robert Lee Dingler in 2013; and her brother, William Edwards.
 
Graveside Services will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Crawfordville Baptist Church Cemetery, 142 Memorial Drive, Crawfordville, GA 30631 with Rev. Candice Arwood officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Travis Kitchens, Kyle Kitchens, Kelvin Kitchens, Jr., Michael Padgett, Clinton Maxwell and Bill Mobley, Jr. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time for the service at Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
