Martha Roberts Holloway

Martha Nell Roberts Holloway, age 83, of Greensboro, Georgia, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at her home. She was born in Oglethorpe County on May 8, 1926 to the late Richard Roberts and Essie Mae Kidd Roberts. She grew up and attended school in Union Point. For a number a of years she worked as a doffer and spinner at Union Manufacturing. She has lived in Greensboro for almost twenty years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lanier Holloway in December of 1998, a son, Richard Woods; and siblings, Mazell Young, Elmay Askew, George Roberts, Clarence Roberts and J. C. Roberts. She is survived by two grandsons, Richard Alan Woods of Greensboro, GA and Michael Todd Woods of Covington, GA and other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1423 N. Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669 with Rev. Richard Chewning officiating.
