Marla Leigh Durham

Marla Leigh Durham, 44, of Columbus died Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Columbus Hospice House. Marla was born April 15, 1968 in Union Springs, AL daughter of the late William Gordon and Gail Clayton Durham. She was an Insurance Specialist with the Medical Center of Central GA and attended Glenwood School in Phenix City, AL and Nathanael Greene Academy in Greene County, GA.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Lottie and Carson Durham and maternal grandparents: Sophie and Lyman Clayton. Survivors include one brother, Carson Durham (Niki) of Bloomington, IL; one sister, Litha Hamilton (Tracy) of Columbus, GA; two nephews, Brant Hamilton and Brady Hamilton; and one niece, Greer Durham.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Callaway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bruce Lovin officiating. Interment will follow at Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery, 1560 Bethesda Church Road, Union Point, GA 30669. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until time for the service. Serving as pallbearers are Ricky McCommons, Mike McCommons, Tim McCommons, Steven McCommons, Brant Hamilton and Brady Hamilton.
