Marjorie McGuire Obituary

Marjorie Lynn McGuire passed away in her sleep after a long illness in Houston, TX on July 15, 2007. Born February 26, 1944 in Augusta, GA to the late Dr. Thomas H. McGuire Sr. and Lenora O''Neal McGuire, she moved to Texas with her family in 1949 and went through the public school system there. She attended the University of Georgia and graduated from Texas Woman''s University School of Nursing in 1968. She held several nursing positions during her working career in Houston. Her most recent position was as Director of Nurses at Bayou Mannor Retirement Center where she loved and cared for her staff as well as her many patients.

Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. T.H. McGuire, Jr. of Raleigh, NC; a sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Quarelli of Phoenix, AZ and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services and interment will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Siloam Cemetery with Neal Dolvin officiating.
