Marion Hubbard, age 83, of Waynesboro, GA, formerly of Greensboro, GA died Friday, July 4, 2008 at Brentwood Nursing Home in Waynesboro. Born on July 18, 1924 in Greene County, he was the son of the late Clifford Joe Hubbard and Emma Goss Hubbard. He attended Greensboro High School. During World War II, he served his country in the United States Army. For twenty years he worked as a policeman for the Richmond County Sheriff''s Department and also worked for Murray Biscuit Company for twenty years as a security guard. Marion was a member of West End Baptist Church of Greensboro.

He is survived by his wife, Emma Lela Elizabeth McDaniel Hubbard of Waynesboro, GA; two sons, Jimmy Hubbard and wife Kathy of Waynesboro, GA and Robert Hubbard of Augusta, GA; two sisters, Lillian Sims of Augusta, GA and Bertha Parker of Buford, GA; three grandchildren, Reginald "Ricky" Hubbard, Melinda Pittard and Andrew Hubbard; seven great grandchildren; Aaron Epperly, Taylor Epperly, Garrett Evans, Ashley Pittard, Amber Pittard, Allie Pittard, and Allison Pittard; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. Interment will follow in the Greensboro City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are police officers of the Richmond County Sheriff''s Office. The family requests that any memorials be made to Brentwood Nursing Home, 115 Brentwood Drive, Waynesboro, GA 30830.
