Margie Edwards McNair

Margie Edwards McNair, age 86, of the Robinson Community of Taliaferro County, died Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Thomson Health and Rehabilitation in Thomson, Georgia. She was born on August 5, 1923 in Crawfordville, Georgia to the late Lennis Edwards and Odessa Edwards. She was a graduate of Alexander Stephens Institute and briefly worked for Royal Manufacturing. Mrs. McNair was a member of Sandy Cross in Crawfordville and attended Robinson Baptist Church. She married James Frank McNair in 1948.

Mrs. McNair was preceded in death by her husband in June of 2002; and a sister, Margaret Johnson. She is survived by a son, Joe McNair and wife Donna of Tennille, GA; three sisters, Annie Laura Crosby of Warner Robbins, GA, Faye Callaway of Washington, GA and Lena Callaway of Washington, GA; a brother, Wilbur Edwards of Tignall, GA; four grandchildren, Joey McNair and wife Tricia of Sparta, GA, Kim Robinson and husband Frank of Gray, GA, Daniel McNair of Statesboro, GA and Thomas McNair of Athens, GA; five great grandchildren, Lauren Robinson, Logan Robinson, Cole McNair, Carley McNair and Cooper McNair; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Greenlawn Cemetery, 1423 N. Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA with Rev. Mark Yearwood officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday night at Callaway Funeral Home in Union Point. Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
