Margaret Elizabeth Weinert of Greensboro, GA, formerly of Saginaw, MI, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Monday, March 21, 2005 at the age of 86. The eldest daughter of the late Louis and Selma Baum Einfault, Margaret was born September 26, 1918 in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Saginaw High School in 1936 and was married to Harold Weinert of Saginaw in April of 1942.
Margaret was employed with the Saginaw Public School System for thirty-eight years, retiring in 1980. She had been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church from childhood until 1967 when she and her family became members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. After moving to Greensboro, GA in 2001 to live with her son and daughter-in-law, she became a charter member of Lake Oconee Lutheran Church. While at Good Shepherd she was a member of the Bright Spots Bible Class and she was a member of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel.
She is survived by a son, Robert and his wife Patricia Dennison Weinert of Greensboro, GA and a nephew, Timothy Thompson of Bentley, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Weinert in October of 1992 and a sister Ruth Thompson in 1988.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at Lake Oconee Lutheran Church with Pastor Ron Schornhorst Officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until time for the service. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Saginaw, Michigan.
