Margaret (Robertson) Lindsey

Margaret Lenore Robertson Lindsey of Greensboro, GA passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro.  Born December 28, 1925 in Penfield, GA she was the daughter of the late Lenore Channell Robertson and Llewellyn Hill Robertson. She graduated from Greensboro High School and was a Member of West End Baptist Church of Greensboro, Georgia.  She was a homemaker who loved fishing, reading, and all children.  Forever the prankster, she loved making people laugh.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lindsey, Jr. and her two stepchildren, Buddy and Betty Lindsey.  She is survived by six children: Franklin (Shirley) Lindsey, Dorris Lindsey, Roy (Ruth Ann) Lindsey, Hoyt (Brenda) Lindsey, Susan (Ray) West and Carlene Noggle; 27 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. Interment will follow in the Greensboro City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642.  Serving as pallbearers are Daryl Lindsey, Kelvin Kitchens, Chris Shockley, Jason Barber, Andy Barber and Ronnie Silvey.
