Margaret Drake Obituary

Margaret Ella Drake, age 86, of Greensboro, Georgia, died Thursday, September 18, 2003 at Greene Point Health Care Center. A native of Kanawha County, West Virginia, she was born August 10, 1917 to the late Theodore Sandt Drake and Clara Pearl Naumann Drake. She worked for Union Carbide as a Metallurgist Lab Assistant. She has lived in Greensboro for the past nine years to be close to her family.

She is survived by a daughter, Marjorie J. Bates of Greensboro, GA; two sisters, Mary Mullins of South Charleston, West Virginia and Madeline Solberg of South Charleston, West Virginia; a brother, Paul Drake of Tampa, Florida; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Ferris Hardin Officiating. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W. Broad St., Greensboro, GA, (706) 453-2626, is in charge of arrangements.
