Lovick Thomas Kreps, age 47, of White Plains, GA, died Saturday, November 7, 2009. Born on February 25, 1962 he was a native of Columbia, SC and the son of Sophie Thomas Kreps of White Plains and the late Duncan Carper Kreps, Sr. He graduated from Stone Mountain High School and was a self employed building contractor who built wonderful buildings. He was also owner of I.R.A.M. an Industrial Rigging and Moving Company. He enjoyed fishing, grilling outdoors, collecting antiques, his work and most of all, his family. He won first place for his barbeque recipe at a Cowles Clinic Barbeque Cook-off.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Ashley Marie Kreps and Taylor Lea Kreps both of Austin, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Stuart Kreps Anderson and David W. Anderson of Monroe, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Duncan Carper Kreps Jr. and Kathleen Kreps of Loganville, GA; an aunt, Mary Chalmers of Charleston, SC; and nieces and nephews, Duncan, Liz, David and Kelly.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Edward A. Swehla officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon at McCommons Funeral Home.
