Louie Ray Flanagan

Louie Ray Flanagan, age 63, of Buckhead, GA, formerly of Gainesville, GA, passed away, Friday, December 11, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospice House.  He was born in Gainesville, GA on August 10, 1952, the son of the late Junior Ray and Nancy Mae Sullens Flanagan.  He attended school at Brookton High School in Brookton, GA and graduated from Carroll Technical College in Carrollton,GA as an ASE Certified Mechanic.  On January 29, 1991, he married the former Wanda Gail Brown.  He was a welder for Bankhead Welding Service in Atlanta, GA.  He was also co-owner of River Store and Grill.  They moved from Gainesville, GA to Buckhead in 2008.  His hobbies included collecting cars, working on cars and fishing.  He was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Clermont, GA.

Louie is survived by his wife of twenty-four years, Wanda Flanagan, of Buckhead, GA; three sons, Matthew Louie Flanagan, Johnny Shane Flanagan and Jamie Ray Flanagan; a sister, Brenda Joy Flanagan; two brothers, Bradley Flanagan and Mike Flanagan; seven grandchildren, Makayla Grace Flanagan, Courtney Lynn Flanagan, Tyler Flanagan, Aaron Flanagan, Michael Flanagan, Chase Flanagan and Brian Flanagan; and several friends in Gainesville.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Flanagan and Eddie Flanagan.
