Lisa LaShawn (Simpson) Griffith

Lisa LaShawn Simpson Griffith, age 42, of Cornelia, Georgia, formerly of Union Point, Georgia went to her Heavenly Home on Saturday, October 7, 2017 following a long battle of health issues. Ms. Griffith was born on October 10, 1974 in Greensboro, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, Enoch Guy Simpson. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and attended Camp Creek Baptist Church. As a Foster Parent, over 30 children passed through her home and her loving care.

Survivors include her mother and step-father, Virginia “Jenny” and J.T. Allen, of Cornelia; sons, Zeke Griffith, of Cornelia; Ely Griffith, of Cornelia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Keith and Cherry Simpson, of Baldwin; Kevin and Angie Simpson, of Baldwin; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2017 in the Chapel of Callaway Funeral Home, 208 North Rhodes Street, Union Point, Georgia 30669 with Pastor James Lyons and Pastor Jim Olds officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Union Point, Georgia.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel and from 12:00 p.m. to the service hour at Callaway Funeral Home.
