Lillian Ullrich
Lillian Odle Ullrich of Greensboro, GA passed away in her home on September 11, 2016 after a short illness. She was born in Washington Township, Sanilac County, Michigan on December 29, 1933 to Ira E. Odle and Esther Bloomfield. She graduated from Marysville, Michigan, High School in 1951. Lillian attended St. Joseph’s Mercy School of Nursing in Detroit, Michigan.
Lillian married Neil Ullrich in Port Huron, Michigan on July 25, 1953 and they recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary this past July. They moved to Greensboro, Georgia in 2000 and enjoyed living in the lake area.
She enjoyed various positions and hobbies such as a school crossing guard and bus driver, baking wedding cakes, Girl and Cub Scout leader and a YMCA life guard. Lillian returned to nursing and graduated as a registered nurse at Morris College in New Jersey. She is survived by her husband, Neil, and two children, Debbie Stapleton of Richardson, Texas and Neil Ullrich Jr. of Plano, Texas. She also leaves behind four Grandchildren, Christopher Stapleton, Melanie Stapleton, Morgan Ullrich and Carson Ullrich. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents.
Lillian was a faithful and dedicated member of the Greensboro First United Methodist Church of Greene County, Georgia. She loved playing golf, swimming, reading and knitting. She also enjoyed being an Auxiliary Volunteer at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital at the front desk.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at Greensboro First United Methodist Church, South Campus, on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM.
