Lillian Hiller Channell, age 83, of Greensboro, GA, died Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Minnie G. Boswell Memorial Hospital. Born on April 22, 1925 in Holland, New York, Lillian was the daughter of the late Floyd C. Hiller and Mildred Schickler Hiller. She grew up and attended school in New York. While working for a soda and pharmacy shop in Albany, Georgia she met and married Gus Channell of Greensboro, Georgia. Their son Floyd was born when they lived in Albany. Gus was in the United States Air Force so for the next eighteen years they were stationed in Denver, Colorado, Wichita, Kansas, and Germany. After he retired from the Air Force, they returned to Greene County where Lillian was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gus Channell in July of 2006 and a son, Gary Channell. She is survived by a son, Floyd Channell and wife Lisa of Greensboro, GA; and a granddaughter, AnnaMarie Channell of Greensboro, GA.
