Lillian Hadden Burgess

Lillian H. Chandler Burgess, 99, of Bascom, Florida died Tuesday, January 15, 2013, in Panama City, Florida. Born in Eatonton, Georgia, Mrs. Burgess was a long time resident of Greensboro, Georgia, and a member of the West End Baptist Church prior to moving to Bascom, Florida to be near her children. In Greensboro she was a Sunday School teacher, song leader and served in many other capacities in her church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Boyd G. Chandler and her second husband Ranchel Burgess; her parents, Carl Wynn Hadden and Sara Bedsole Hadden; a son, Harvel Chandler; 5 brothers, Raymond, Marshal "Doc", Emorite, Howard G. and Quenton Hadden. Survivors include her daughter, Winona "Winkie" Burnham and husband Don of Cottondale; four sisters-in-laws, Lula Hadden, Lorrain Hadden, Marjorie Hadden all of Georgia; daughter-in-law, Fay Chandler of Bascom; four grandchildren, Jo Burnham Sapp, Ben Burnham, and Mitch Chandler of Panama City, Florida, Patrick Chandler of Bedford Texas; nine great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Maddox Chapel with Rev. Jack Brock and Dr. Steve Canada officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until funeral time Thursday at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm EST, Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Greensboro City Cemetery in Greensboro, Georgia. with Rev.
