Leonard Gheesling “Lynn” Leach
God called Leonard Gheesling “Lynn” Leach of Greensboro, GA home on Tuesday, December 24, 2013. A lifelong resident of Greensboro, he was born on April 27, 1955 to Delores Godbee Wilson of Greensboro, GA and the late Lenward Gheesling “L.G.” Leach, of Veazy, GA. He attended Greene County High School and later became the owner and operator of Leach Logging. Lynn truly enjoying driving his log truck until he became ill and could not longer operate his business. He was always there with open arms to help his friends and family. He was a member of Walker United Methodist Church. Lynn enjoyed playing “tag” with his dog Spot, and hunting on the weekends with his buddies; Gary and David.
In addition to his mother, Delores Godbee Wilson of Greensboro, GA, Lynn is survived by a daughter, Brittany Leach of White Plains, GA; two sisters; Cheryl Leach Dolvin (Jimmy Dolvin) of Siloam, GA and Dollie Leach Eley(Jamie Eley) of White Plains, GA; Aunt and Uncle; Elaine and Niles Webb of Greensboro, GA; Nephew; Jim Dolvin of Monroe,GA; Nieces; Crystal Dolvin Brown of Union Point, GA and Ginger Eley of White Plains, GA; his dog; Spot: and a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Walker United Methodist Church, 2730 Walker Church Road, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Dr. Norman Waldrip and Rev. John Pike officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Gary Shaw, David Wetsel, Mac Nunn, Butch Thompson, Steve Webb and Jamie Eley. Honorary pallbearers are Niles Webb and Jimmy Dolvin. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday night at McCommons Funeral Home.
