Leila Wood Mullins

Leila Faye Wood Mullins, age 73, of Athens, GA, formerly of Siloam, GA died Thursday, October 24, 2013 at The Oaks Of Athens. She was born March 23, 1940 in Union Point, GA, the daughter of the late Will Louis Wood and Norma Patton Wood. She graduated from Greensboro High School in 1958. Leila was self-employed working as a personal care aid. She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed reading and sharing home-cooked meals with friends and family.

She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Gauley of Sautee Nacoochee, GA, Cindy Wood and husband Stanley of Helen, GA and; a son, David Mullins of Nicholson, GA; two sisters, Mary Andrews Lord and husband John of Watkinsville, GA, Joyce Wood Maddox and husband David of Athens, GA; three grandchildren, Meaghan Gauley McElwain, Ty Wood and Tennelle Wood Adams; six half-sisters; and many other relatives and friends. She is pre-deceased by her three brothers, Louis Wood, James H. Wood and Jack C. Wood.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Siloam Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Maddox officiating. Serving as pallbearers are John McElwain, Ty Wood, Josh Watson, Bruce Roberson, Devin Roberson, Daniel Roberson, Marc Richards and Lane Moncrief. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at the church. Interment will follow in the Siloam Cemetery, Church Street, Siloam, GA 30665.
