Larry Allen Webb

Larry Allen Webb, age 59, of the Veazey Community died Monday, November 10, 2003 at Minnie G. Boswell Memorial Hospital. He was born June 15, 1944 in Greene County to the late Lee Alton Webb and Grace Gheesling Webb. He was a lifelong resident of Greene County, attended Greensboro High School and was retired from logging.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara G. Webb, of the Veazey Community; a daughter, Laurie Rimes and husband Adrian of the Veazey Community; a son, Doug Webb and wife Renee of the Veazey Community; a sister, Nina Hayes and husband Joe Gene of Lexington, GA; three grandchildren, Brigitte Webb, Zack Webb and Alissa Webb; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Alton Webb.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Nicholas officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Phil Robinson, Darrell Merritt, Robert Burt, James "Jimmy" Walker, Johnny Webb, Ross McCommons and Steve Hayes. Honorary pallbearers are Ralph Simons, Ceils Merritt, Robert Dowdy and Wayne Akins. The family requests that any memorials be made to the Larry Webb fund, c/o BB&T, 201 S. Main Street, Greensboro, GA 30642. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
