Kenneth H. Piepenbrink, age 82, of White Plains, GA passed away, Sunday, July 17, 2016 at his home with his loved ones.  Born in Matteson, IL on June 7, 1934, he was the son of the late Herman and Dorothy Umland Piepenbrink.  Kenneth graduated from Bloom Township High School in Chicago Heights, IL and attended Purdue University.  He married Constance Ann Becker on September 10, 1955.  They moved from Illinois to Georgia forty years ago and retired to Lake Oconee sixteen years ago.  Kenneth was hired by Thrall Car Company and proudly worked for this company 40 years, retiring in 1999, as a Freight Car Design Engineer.  Along with his wife he was a founding member of Lake Oconee Lutheran Church, where he served in numerous positions.  He had a passion for serving others and was a volunteer for Putnam County Habitat for Humanity and sang in the Stone Mountain Barbershop Chorus.  He was an avid woodworker and carver and enjoyed making furniture and carving Santa Clauses.  He also loved to fish.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Connie Piepenbrink of White Plains, GA; his daughter, Renee Sessions (Kurt) of Drums, PA; two sons, Scott Piepenbrink (Sami) of Geneseo, IL and Craig Piepenbrink (Jeni) of Mesquite, TX; eight grandchildren, Miranda McIsaac (Scott), Colin Sessions, Mollie Sessions, Brady Piepenbrink (Chelsea), Brittany Piepenbrink, Tanner Piepenbrink, Emily Burns (Josh) and Maggie Allen (Paden); five great grandsons, Lucas McIsaac, Blake McIsaac, Colton McIsaac, Griffin Piepenbrink and Ryder Piepenbrink; two brothers, Dale Piepenbrink and Gene Piepenbrink; other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Margie P. Noel and a brother, Earl Piepenbrink.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 22, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Lake Oconee Lutheran Church, 1089 Lake Oconee Parkway, Eatonton, GA 31024 with Pastor Andy Schroeder officiating.  A reception will be held after the service at the church.  The family requests that any memorials be made to Lake Oconee Lutheran Church, 1089 Lake Oconee Parkway, Eatonton, GA 31024 or Putnam County Habitat for Humanity, 1027 Lake Oconee Parkway, Eatonton, GA 31024.
