Kenneth Clyde Hanson
Kenneth Clyde Hanson, of Greensboro, GA, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the age of 74. Ken was born in Minneapolis, MN on April 10, 1943, to the late Anton and Eileen Mulcare Hanson. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree and married Virginia Butler on March 6, 1975. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed a long and successful career with the Flo-Pac corporation/southeast division. Ken retired in 2004 as the President. In 2006 he moved from McDonough, GA to Lake Oconee where he made his permanent home for the last twelve years. Among his many interests, Ken loved golf, working out, walking and traveling especially to Europe and Ireland.
Preceding him in death was his only brother, Richard Hanson. He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Virginia Hanson of Greensboro, GA, two sons, Jason Hanson and Nicholas Hanson; his daughter, Debbie Sandler and her husband Jeffrey and their children, Matthew, Zachary and Isabella; a number of other relatives and many friends.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of his Life will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.. at McCommons Chapel. A reception will follow the service at the historic Hall Thomas House, 109 W. Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642. In lieu of flowers, The family requests that donations be made to the Oconee Humane Society, 1020 Park Ave, Greensboro, GA 30642. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
