Keith Martin Obituary

Vincent Keith Martin, age 50, of Greensboro, Georgia, died Thursday, April 22, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his love ones. A native of Greene County he was born August 4, 1959 to Edward Lee "Buster" Martin and Barbara Joann Godbee Martin. In 1977 he graduated from Western Hills High in Fort Worth, Texas and married the former Debora Crawford of Greensboro on April 25, 1981. He began his career working at Micro Mold and Machine in Union Point with Mr. Bob Heidbrider and was a CNC Programmer for Nibco in Greensboro, GA at the time of his death. Keith was a member of Wesley Chapel Wesleyan Church in Greensboro. Keith enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing.

In addition to his wife, Debora Crawford Martin, of Greensboro, GA, and his parents, Edward Lee "Buster" Martin and Joann Godbee Martin of Woodville, GA; he is survived by two daughters, Brandy M. Shuman and husband Steven of Greensboro, GA and Kim M. Funderburk and husband Ben of Newborn, GA; two sisters, Tyra Martin of Union Point, GA and Leigh Martin of Union Point, GA; a brother Josh Martin and wife Benita of Vider, TX; aunts and uncles, Bessie Thomas, Johnny Martin, Shirley Brown, Danny Martin, Marion and Sybil Godbee, Dennis and Julie Godbee and Eddie and Judy Godbee; great aunts, Alice Rhodes, Corene Godbee and Patsy Webb; father and mother-in-law Bill and Doris Crawford of Greensboro, GA; two grandchildren, Taylor Shuman and Nathan Shuman; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Wesley Chapel Wesleyan Church with Rev. Tim Tabler officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday night at McCommons funeral home.
