Kathleen Osborne Ogletree

Kathleen Osborne Ogletree, 73, of Union Point, GA, died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at St. Mary''s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro, GA. Born on September 14, 1938 in Sandersville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Bertie Cleon Osborne, Sr. and Nellie Amerson Osborne. In 1956 she graduated from Union Point High School. She worked for Chipman Union in Union Point as a seamstress retiring in 1990. Kathleen was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for the junior high boys and girls. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed being with her family.

In addition to her husband, Ed Ogletree of Union Point, GA, she is survived by two daughters Debbie Thornton and husband Sandy of Woodville, GA and Tammy Cawthon and fiance'' Allen Nichols of the Macedonia Community; a brother, John Osborne and wife Marilyn of Union Point, GA; two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Osborne of Stockbridge, GA and Marcelyn Osborne of Warner Robins, GA; four grandchildren, Kristy Cawthon, Brandy Thornton Futrelle and husband Kenny, Becky Cawthon Fountain and husband Mathew and Kaitlyn Thornton; five great grandchildren, MaKaylee Nation, Nathan Futrelle, Ryese Nation, Elizabeth "Lizzy" Fountain and Nataleigh Futrelle; a very good friend, Frankie Turner Jackson; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Osborne and three brothers, Merrill Osborne, Wray Osborne and Bertie Cleon Osborne, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, 3963 Union Point Highway, Union Point, GA 30669 with Rev. Bobby Tomlin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are John Manley, Mac Manley, John Mize, Gene Vaught, Chris Osborne and Randy Ogletree. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday night at McCommons Funeral Home in Greensboro, GA.
