Julian Thomas Wilson of Covington, Georgia

Julian was born in Augusta, Georgia in 1955 and passed away on February 1, 2014.  He is predeceased by his parents, Jack E. and Elizabeth S. Wilson of Tucker, Georgia, his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Wilson of Thomson, Georgia, and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Julian W. Sanders of Greensboro, Georgia.

Julian attended Fairhaven School, Scottdale School and Dekalb Independent Enterprises in Dekalb County, and the day program at Independent Enterprises in Covington, Georgia.  Julian was a long time member of the Clarkston United Methodist Church and one of the original members of its’ Sunshine Class.

Julian was well loved by family and friends, never met a stranger, and always had a hug and a smile for everyone. Julian loved visiting the family farm in Greensboro and going to the creek, picnics at Stone Mountain, playing the air guitar and singing, listening to music and dancing,  playing with Daddy’s model trains, going to movies, bowling, and he loved to draw.  Julian participated in the Special Olympics when he was younger.  He enjoyed going to the Braves games, cheering for the Hawks and the Falcons, but especially loved his Georgia Bulldogs. He was a ray of sunshine that will be missed.
 
Julian is survived by his two sisters:  Mary Elizabeth Thompson and husband, David K. Thompson, of Milledgeville, Georgia; and Jacquelyn Wilson Daniell of Snellville, Georgia; nieces:  Julie Marie Thompson of Statesboro, Georgia and Jill Lauren Thompson of Statesboro, Georgia and special family friend Tammy Bailey of Covington, Georgia.  

Graveside Services will be held Monday, February 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sanders family plat in the Siloam Cemetery, Church Street, Siloam, Georgia with Dr. Mike Cavin officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Clarkston United Methodist Church, 3919 Church Street, Clarkston, Georgia  30021, (404) 296-5678.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
