Julian Selic Holcomb of Union Point, GA died on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 79. Born in Lincolnton, GA on October 30, 1935, he was the youngest of ten children born to the late Jefferson B. Holcomb and Fannie Barrett Holcomb. Julian attended Lincolnton High School. On December 23, 1960 he married Emma Dean Holcomb.  He worked for Georgia Power Company for 4 years as an inspector and Thomason Land Surveying for 10 years. In 1971 they moved to Greene County from Atlanta, GA.  Julian enjoyed admiring his old car, fishing and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchild.
 
In addition to his wife Emma Dean Holcomb of Union Point, GA, he is survived by two sons, Danny Holcomb of Greensboro, GA and Randy Holcomb (Shanna) of Milledgeville, GA; three grandchildren, Rusty Holcomb, Brandi Holcomb and Ava Holcomb; and a great granddaughter, Aubrey Kaye Clements.  He was preceded in death by all of his siblings, Lizzie Crook, Maggie Ellison, Grace Aycock, Ruby Crook, Virginia Myers, Raucie White, J. B. Holcomb, Bill Holcomb and David Holcomb.
 
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Callaway Funeral Home Chapel, 208 North Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669 with Rev. Tim Tabler officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday at Callaway Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service.  Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
