Joyce McBee Henson

Joyce McBee Henson, age 57, of Buckhead, GA, died Monday, February 22, 2010 at her residence. She was born on May 15, 1952 in Madison, Georgia to Faye Allen Payne and the late Lanny Thomas McBee. She grew up in Madison and received her education from Morgan County High School. Joyce was a member of Beacon Heights Baptist Church and attended Rutledge Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Joyce is survived by her husband A. M. Henson of Buckhead, GA and her mother, Faye Allen Payne of Rutledge, GA; a daughter Deidra Canady and husband Jamey of Madison, GA; a son, Scott Henson of Buckhead, GA; two sisters, Phyllis Messer and husband Lowell of Rutledge, GA and Cindy Soruco and husband Al of California; five grandchildren, Johnathan Henson, C. J. Henson, Cassidy Moye, Kyland Canady and Makenzie Canady; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son Chris Henson.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the Rutledge Baptist Church, 112 West Main Street, Rutledge, GA 30663 with Rev. Wayne Ghann and Rev. Brandon Stanley officiating. Interment will follow in the Rutledge City Cemetery, 192 E. Main Street, Rutledge, GA 30663. Serving as pallbearers are Johnathan Henson, C. J. Henson, Richie Messer, Buddy Haley, Andy Haley, Todd Howell, Scott Henson and Clint Grubbs. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at McCommons Funeral Home.
