John Luther “Jackie” Williford, age 65, of Greensboro, GA died Sunday, August 12, 2012 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro. Born in Washington, Georgia on December 22, 1946, he was the son of the late Luke and Mildred Farr Williford. He grew up in Union Point and attended Union Point High School. He married the former Brenda Cook of Greensboro. Jackie drove a truck for Pennington Seed in Madison, GA. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Union Point.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Cook Williford of Greensboro, GA; mother-in-law, Dorothy Tumlin of Greensboro, GA; sisters-in-law, Catherine Caldwell, Marie Lindsey and Debbie Tumlin; brother-in-law, George Tumlin, Jr.; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenview Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at McCommons Funeral Home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
