John Trotter Obituary

John William “Bill” Trotter, age 66, of Reynolds Plantation, Greensboro, GA, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro, GA. He was born in Charlotte, NC on June 30, 1945 to the late John Beryl Trotter and Josephine Jeter Trotter. He was a graduate of Kirkwood High School and then attended Auburn University where he started flight training. He became an airline pilot working for Continental Airlines for twenty-four years retiring in 2007. He married the former Charlene Ann Roadman on June 24, 1989. They have lived at Reynolds Plantation since 2000 where he enjoyed playing golf. He is survived by his wife, Charlene Ann Roadman Trotter of Greensboro, GA; a stepson, Brian Ellis of Port Charlotte, FL; a sister, Cindi Peel and husband Edwin of Nashville, TN; his beloved pet cats, Rocky and Natasha; and many friends. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Reynolds Plantation Pavilion, 3310 Linger Longer Road, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Dr. David Key officiating.
