John Eugene Kender, Jr, age 48, died on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at his home in Buford, Georgia. He was born February 20, 1960 in Montgomery County, Ohio. In 1978 he graduated from South DeKalb Technical School. John was a service representative for a number of retail stores in the Atlanta area.

John is survived by his parents, John and Joyce Kender of Greensboro, GA; three sisters, Terri Kender of Lexington, KY, Randa Sanchez of Covington, GA and Sandy Gonzales of Conyers, GA, his uncle, Paul Kender of Sugar Hill, GA, his aunt, Kitten Machuta of Mt. Pleasant, MI; and a number of other friends and relatives.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 1, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. at McCommons Chapel in Greensboro with Rev. David Key officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the historic Hall-Thomas House next to the funeral home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
