John Michael Kender

John Michael Kender born November 8, 1939 passed away at his home, Sunday, June 2, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Pearl Kender, a sister Joe Ann McGee, and son John Eugene Kender. John leaves his wife Joyce and three daughters: Terri Kender of Lexington, Kentucky; Sandy Gonzeles Martinez and Rafino of Conyers, Georgia, and Randy Sanchez and Sergio of Oxford, Georgia; Kitten Machuta, sister of Shepherd, Michigan, and brother Paul Kender and Jane of Sugar Hill, Georgia; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, plus nieces, nephews, and many friends. John was a member of the Lake Oconee Community Church, the Elks Lodge 2849, and the Lake Oconee Croquet Society. He was also an avid golfer and a volunteer. He was a realtor and broker and past president of the Lake Country Board of Realtors. He was a Lithographer by trade and a leading color expert in the field of printing.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 8th at 4:00 p.m. at the Lake Oconee Community Church, 1097 Lake Oconee Parkway, Suite 203. David Key and Becky Matheny will officiate John''s service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 1101 Northchase Parkway, Suite 1, Marietta, Georgia 30067. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
