Joa Maxine Horn Bickley, 87, of Greensboro, GA died Monday, June 29, 2009 at Saint Joseph''s East Hospital in Greensboro. Born on January 12, 1922 in Dallas County, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Ancel A. Horn and Calista Balfour Horn. She married William Clyde Bickley in 1941. They moved around the United States and Canada and eventually settled in Texas. She made a loving home for her family wherever they lived. After her husband''s death in 1988, she traveled a great deal with her friend, Marie Carter, including trips to Israel, Colorado and Alaska. She then moved to Lawrenceville, GA in 2004 to live near her family. She was a homemaker and member of Cleveland Liberty Church. She also loved to sew and garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clyde Bickley in 1988. She is survived by two daughters, Sara B. Folk and husband Mel of Greensboro, GA and Judi Mulder of San Jose, CA; two sons, Tad Bickley of Colorado Springs, CO and Hunter Bickley of California; grandchildren, Cheryl Perrault, Lexie Wells, Shelby Bickley, Ryan Folk, Haylee Free, Chrissy Bickley, Philip Bickley, Casey Bickley, Sonya Lima and Hunter Mulder and numerous great grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at Peebles Cemetery in Goodrich, Texas with Rev. Bob White officiating.
