Jeremy Michael Simpson, age 36, of Greensboro, GA, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016.  A lifelong resident of Greene County, he was born on April 6, 1980 in Washington, GA to Michael Alexander Simpson and Teresa Diane Parker Simpson.  He was a graduate of Greene County High School and attended Truett McConnell College.  At the time of his death he was working for Reynolds Plantation as a spray technician. Jeremy was an avid reader and his favorite pastime was going to the movies.  He grew up on tractors and motorcycles and loved the outdoors. Jeremy will be greatly missed by a multitude of friends and loved ones.

Survivors include his father, Mike Simpson of Greensboro, GA and his mother, Teresa Simpson of Greensboro, GA; sister, Wendy Diane Simpson of Greensboro, GA; paternal grandfather, Alex Simpson; maternal grandparents, Loyd and Diane Parker; uncles, Joe Simpson, Jimmy Simpson, Ricky Simpson, Paul Parker, and Patrick Parker; cousins, Jennifer Simpson and Amanda Simpson; extended family, Tami “Moma Tami” Mize, Josh and Larissa George, Joey, Ryder, and Haley Meadows, Jordan Mize, Eric and Cubby Moore; and godson, Wyatt George.  In addition to his grandmother, Sara Simpson, he was preceded in death by an  uncle, Wade Parker.

Funeral Services will be held, Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Reggie Haslett officiating.  Interment will follow in the Bethany Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 2999 Bethany Church Road, Greensboro, GA 30642.  The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Funeral Home.  Serving as pallbearers are Joshua George, Eric Moore, Ryder Meadows, Jordan Mize, Desmond Moore and Kory Buice.  Honorary pallbearers will be William Buice, James Buice and Jimmy Simpson.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
